Sean Fitzgerald – Publisher
Sean Fitzgerald is the founding publisher of New North B2B. He launched B2B in March 2002 to provide business owners and executives in Oshkosh and Fond du Lac with a comprehensive, consistent and regional perspective of local business.
Sean is a former business editor with the Oshkosh Northwestern and a former business writer with the Fond du Lac Reporter. In 1998, he served as the first editor for the start-up FDL Inc. weekly business section of The Reporter, and followed a similar path in launching the monthly Oshkosh Inc. for The Northwestern in 2000.
Throughout his career Sean received several awards from the Wisconsin Newspaper Association, the U.S. Small Business Administration, the Wisconsin Association of School Boards and the Wisconsin Education Association Council.
Sean holds a B.A. degree in philosophy from Carthage College in Kenosha. He grew up in the Wausau area. His wife, Vicky, is a CPA and an accounting department manager with a large employer in northeastern Wisconsin. They have two children, Emily and Jeremy.
Sean is active in the community and has served as a board or committee member for a variety of organizations. A short list of those responsibilities have included being past chair for the Oshkosh Area United Way Campaign; networking committee chair for New North Small Business & Entrepreneurial Council; a Big Brother with Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Fox Valley Region; board member for the Oshkosh Chamber of Commerce; and various other civic and cultural committees and business networking groups. He helped found Propel in Oshkosh and Young Professionals of Fond du Lac.
Carrie Rule – Sales Manager
Carrie Rule joined B2B in August 2007 as an account executive in charge of sales and marketing. She previously served as the sales manager for the Oshkosh Convention & Visitor's Bureau, promoting Oshkosh as a prime meeting, events and leisure destination.
Carrie is a member of Women in Management Inc. and serves on its board. She has played an important role in putting on the “Taste of Entrepreneurship”, the luncheon and networking portion of the annual New North Summit. Carrie is a 2010/2011 Leadership Oshkosh graduate. She has also been a long-time member of Propel, Oshkosh's young professionals, previously serving on their board.
Carrie is an Oshkosh native and lives with her two daughters, Lexi and Chelsea and husband Rick. Out of the office, Carrie enjoys running, hiking, traveling and reading and spending time with her family and friends.
