Who we are![]() Sean FitzgeraldPublisherSean Fitzgerald is the founding publisher of New North B2B. He launched B2B in March 2002 as a means of providing business owners and executives in Oshkosh and Fond du Lac with a comprehensive, consistent and regional perspective of local business. Sean is a former business editor with the Oshkosh Northwestern and a former business writer with the Fond du Lac Reporter. In 1998, he served as the first editor for the start-up FDL inc. weekly business section of The Reporter, and followed a similar path in launching the monthly Oshkosh Inc. for The Northwestern in 2001. Throughout his career Sean received several awards from the Wisconsin Newspaper Association, the U.S. Small Business Administration, the Wisconsin Association of School Boards and the Wisconsin Education Association Council. Sean holds a B.A. degree in philosophy from Carthage College in Kenosha. He grew up in the Wausau area. His wife, Vicky, is a CPA and an accounting department manager with a large employer in northeastern Wisconsin. They have two children: Emily, 18, and Jeremy, 12. Sean is active in the community and has served as a board or committee member for a variety of organizations. His current roles include serving as chair for the 2009 Oshkosh Area United Way Campaign; networking committee chair for New North Small Business & Entrepreneurial Council; Oshkosh Chamber of Commerce; Paine Art Center & Gardens; and various other committees and business networking groups. He belongs to three area young professionals organizations and helped found Propel in Oshkosh and Young Professionals of Fond du Lac.
![]() Carrie RuleAccount ExecutiveCarrie Rule joined B2B in August 2007 as an account executive in charge of sales and marketing. She most recently served as the sales manager for the Oshkosh Convention & Visitor’s Bureau, promoting Oshkosh as a prime meeting, events and leisure destination. Carrie is an Oshkosh native and lives with her two daughters, Lexi, 12, and Chelsea, 10, and her significant other of four years, Rick. Out of the office, Carrie contributes her time for several different local political campaigns, as well as volunteers to many civic and charitable causes. She is a member of Propel, Oshkosh’s young professionals group, and Appleton Mid-Day Business Professional Women. She enjoys running, hiking, spending time with family and friends, and getting out to community events and attractions such as Gallery Walk and the art and history museums. Kate ErbachCreative DirectorKate Erbach joined B2B in December of 2005 as the magazine’s creative director. She comes from a background in printing and publishing, starting with Miles Kimball Co. in Oshkosh, and then with the Oshkosh Northwestern. Stints with Connelly Publishing in Beaver Dam and Kaukauna-based Pechman Imaging further cemented her skills. Kate also does freelance design work through her own agency. Away from the magazine, Kate spends her time designing cloth collectible dolls that she sells and donates to local charitable organizations. She also teaches cloth doll making classes online, and has developed her own line of doll patterns. |
